Marc Sallus

Mr. Sallus attended Claremont Men’s College (aka Claremont McKenna College) where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. He was elected to the Order of the Coif, and to the Thurston Society and was a Research Editor, Hastings International and Comparative Law Review (Special Edition Japan).
In addition to being admitted in California, Mr. Sallus is admitted to practice in the United States District Court (Central, Eastern, Northern and Southern Districts of California), the United States Tax Court and the United States Ninth Circuit.
He is a member and has been an officer of the following: State Bar of California (Executive Committee, Trusts and Estates Section), Conference of Delegates of California Bar Association (Chair and Board of Directors), Los Angeles County Bar Association (Executive Committee; Board of Trustees; President, Barristers; Litigation Section Executive Committee; Chair and Trusts and Estates Section; Chair, Los Angeles County Bar Delegation to the Conference of Delegates of the State Bar), Beverly Hills Bar Association (President, President Elect; First Vice President, Board of Governors; Probate and Trust Section, Chair and Executive Committee), Beverly Hills Bar Foundation Board, American Bar Association (Member; House of Delegates), ABA Center on Children and the Law Advisory Board (Chair), American Bar Association’s Family Law Section (Council), Task Force on Children Needs and Juvenile Justice Committee (Chair), Mexican American Bar Association (Board of Trustees, Historian, Treasurer), San Fernando Valley Bar Association (Member), Public Counsel (Board).
Mr Sallus is the author of two Will Contests chapters in Decedents Estate Practice (CEB, Vol. 3) and Trust and Probate Litigation Practice (CEB). He was a Member of the CEB Probate/Estate Planning Advisory Subcommittee. He has lectured on behalf of CEB, State Bar of California, Los Angeles County Bar, Santa Monica Bar, San Bernardino Bar, Beverly Hills Bar, and other organizations.
Mr. Sallus is a member of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and has been elected as a Southern California Super Lawyer and a Southern California Best Lawyer. He is also a member of the Los Angeles Lawyers Philharmonic Orchestra and the Barristers’ Big Band.
 He has participated in the following important appellate cases: Oveross vs. Chatard (2009) 179 Cal.App.4th 1098; Conservatorship and Estate of George H. (2008) 169 Cal.App.4th 157; Ehrenclou vs. Mac Donald (2004) 117 Cal.App.4th 364; and Johnson v. Kotyck (1999) 76 Cal.App.4th 83.

Marshall Oldman

Mr. Oldman received his Bachelor of Arts from USC and his Juris Doctor from UCLA. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
He is admitted to practice in the State of California, the United States District Court (Central District of California) and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Oldman has been a member and officer of the following state and local bar groups: he was the Chairman of the San Fernando Valley Bar Probate Section, member of the Executive Committee of Los Angeles County Bar Association Probate Section and its Chairman, a member and Chairman of the Legislative Monitoring Committee of County Bar Probate Section, the President of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association, a member of the Board of Trustees of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association, and a member of the Executive Committee of the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Section of the State Bar of California as well as Chairman of its Incapacity and Litigation Committees and its Vice Chairman.
 He has authored numerous articles for the San Fernando Valley Bar Bulletin, Probate Column for the Los Angeles Daily Journal, Journal of Western Legal History and for the Daily Journal Report. He has spoken frequently before the Los Angeles County Bar Probate Section, San Fernando Valley Bar, Santa Monica Bar, Pasadena Bar, California Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB) and other organizations.
 Mr. Oldman has testified before the California Assembly Judiciary Committee on probate legislation on behalf of the Los Angeles County Bar Probate Section. He has also served as an expert witness in probate, attorney fee, legal malpractice and federal estate tax matters.
 He has been a public member of the California Board of Accountancy since 2007, having served as Secretary Treasurer and Vice President and is currently its President. He has served on the San Fernando Valley Community Legal Foundation and the San Fernando Valley Legal Services and is a member of the Ninth Circuit Historical Society, the Cowboy Lawyers Association and the National College of Probate Judges.
 Mr. Oldman has been selected as a Southern California Super Lawyer and as a Best Lawyer.
